As I contemplate my day, many thoughts come to mind. Could I have squeezed in a longer run? Did I raise my voice today? Did my kids eat enough (or any) fruits and vegetables today? Did my 4 year old brush his teeth? The thing is, these thoughts are toxic. I accomplished so much today. I exercised, I made smoothies, fresh green juice and lunch for my husband. I sent my children to camp with clean clothing and plenty of food (some healthy, some not)=fed is best. I closed my eyes and prayed. I attended my class, wrote notes, cooked dinner, grocery shopped, cleaned my house and even had time to sit on my hammock.
Clearing our minds of negativity doesn't come naturally. It is part of our life's work. Try focusing on one good thing that happened today. Visualize how and what it is that worked out for you. It can be as small as a parking spot opening up for you. Be grateful. Training our brain to be thankful, not only humbles us, but it detoxes our negative feelings. Next, breathe. Breathing not only calms us, but it is physiologically necessary for us to live. When we breathe intentionally, we're using our body optimally. Try the 6-3-6-3 breathing series. Breathe in through your nose for 6 seconds, hold it in for 3 seconds. Exhale for 6 seconds and hold for 3 seconds.
Try these detox methods and let me know what you think:)
Keep thriving!
